We have started a bulk food fund. This fund we donate into until we have about $10,000. At that point, we are able to buy beans or other food in bulk, when the prices are low, as food prices fluctuate throughout the seasons. We save almost 60% on our food costs when we are able to buy in season, directly from the farmers and not through the middle man.
